Entrepreneur, business advisor and social activist, Adam Bradford, aims to inspire the next generation of creative, digital and tech entrepreneurs as a speaker at this year’s Festival of Digital Disruption.
The Festival of Digital Disruption, which runs from 18 – 22 October 2021, is now in its seventh year. The week aims to inspire those who haven’t considered careers in creative, digital and tech, as well as encourage them to think about starting their own business.
The event has been designed to introduce young entrepreneurs to those who have either built businesses, work for inspiring businesses or changed careers. They will hear from founders solving real-world problems with a social purpose.
An entrepreneur since he was 15, Adam Bradford runs his campaigning communications agency that operates a non-profit programme that supports enterprising people across the globe to achieve economic and social success through mentoring and training, from its offices in the UK and the UAE.
Adam will be speaking at 12:30pm on day three of the festival, which focuses on Tech for Good. Adam created the BetProtect app, a platform that offers tools and professional advice to help players better understand and manage their relationship with gambling. The app was inspired by his own experiences of his dad’s battle with gambling and follows several years of campaigning for change in the industry. The app was recently acquired by industry-leading compliance specialist Crucial Compliance.
Commenting on the event, Adam Bradford, said: “I was a young entrepreneur, setting up my first business when I was 15, so I understand the challenges and complexities of starting a new business. By sharing my entrepreneurial journey, I hope to empower young people that have aspirations to run their own business, particularly those with limited access to support and opportunities.”
The Festival of Digital Disruption is being held virtually this year and will be streamed from The Curious Lounge in Reading, with the plan to hold next year’s event in person. The Tech for Good session featuring Adam Bradford, will be held on 20th October. To book tickets, click here.
