ABA Announces Support of Self Belief Trust

In memory of Jamal Edwards OBE: 1990 – 2022

Adam Bradford Agency as a group, has this morning announced its long-term support of the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust. Anyone who knows the name Jamal Edwards will know that everything about Jamal was synonymous with the creation of opportunities for young people, particularly from under-represented groups.

Whether it be promoting upcoming artists and creative talent through his platform SBTV, his own youth centres, his work as an ambassador or his general positive spirit, everything Jamal turned his hand to improved the lives of others.

The United Kingdom, the world, and its young people lost a real champion when Jamal sadly passed at the young age of 31 in February of this year. His brave and courageous mother Brenda Edwards has set up of the Self Belief Trust in Jamal’s honour, to help combat homelessness, improve mental health amongst young people and to provide young people with essential life skills.

ABA founder Adam Bradford was lucky enough to be involved with Jamal through programmes such as the BBC’s Trade Your Way to the USA TV programmes, the Queen’s Young Leaders programme and Virgin Media Pioneers.

To that end and in the spirit of our ethos as a social enterprise, we care about what we do with our profits at Adam Bradford Agency and are delighted to announce an annual donation to the Self Belief Trust for the next five years, beginning this financial year.

ABA staff and colleagues will also take part in fundraising efforts to raise money for our chosen charity and are proud to ensure that legacy lives on. Founder Adam Bradford commented: ‘From just the few times we were working together and in the same room, Jamal’s energy was such that everyone left his presence inspired. His every action was tailored to the betterment of others and it is our sincere honour to be able to do our small bit in continuing to give young people the chance to succeed.’
